This piece was born from an experience this past spring - Standing beneath an apple tree, the blooms surrounding me in their explosion of pink-streaked white, I lost time watching the bees flit in and out of the blossoms, imagining what it must be like to be immersed fully in their color and light.
Recreating this impression, this feeling, allowing the self to fade into an experience was the inspiration for this painting. I hope that you, the viewer, might lose yourself in the childlike wonder of being entirely present. I invite you to fall into finding the connection, the holiness, the wonder in the beauty of nature that I did.
